Billing for Telemedicine
-
I will be using similar billing codes from an in-office visit with the addition of a Place of Service 02 code & will make notes that either the GT or 95 modifiers applies for all telemedicine. For example, the most frequent codes I will use are:
-
25-minute return: 99214 + 90833 with POS 02
-
50-minute return: 99214 + 90836 with POS 02
-
New patient: 90792 with POS 02
-
-
Most insurers reimburse for telemedicine. It remains your responsibility to check with your health insurance company to assure reimbursement
-
My charges are the same (see pricing)
